SWTOR Powertech Guide
The overall ability of Powertech with a Bounty Hunter varies depending on the skill set of the player. As your player becomes more experienced the damage produced by Powertech increases. With this in mind, it may be best to gain multiple experience point levels before opting to select the Powertech option, as it places you in close range (typically), which can be a deadly situation as your available health is less than more experienced players.

One of the classes an individual is able to become is a Bounty Hunter. These players, although without Jedi powers, have advanced armor, weapons and other equipment. Specializations of the Bounty Hunter include the Powertech and the Mercenary. Powertech allows Bounty Hunters to increase the durability of their shield technology and their advanced prototype.

With the advanced prototype option, Powertech allows you to adjust and increase the overall damage produce by the character’s flamethrower. Flamethrowers are best with short range fights as it is difficult for enemies to dodge the large burst of flames being produced. The damage also lasts longer as characters continue to burn after the flamethrower has stopped firing. The Powertech option increases the width of the flame, which in turn allows you to take out multiple individuals at the same time in close range.

In terms of shield tech, the Powertech option allows Bounty Hunters to adjust and manipulate short and mid-ranged attacks. This is helpful as you face a wide range of opponents, from creatures to different casts of Jedi and civilians. The form of attack best used is going to vary depending on the individual you are fighting and their strengths as a character. The more advanced the individual you are fighting against the more difficult it is to defeat them, so having additional specialization features for your attack style is extremely important. Some of the attack and weapon options attached to Powertech are the retractable blades that function out of the Bounty Hunters wrists, the assortment of missiles and other explosives and the built in flamethrower.

Star Wars: The Old Republic is a massive multiplayer online role playing game designed after the extremely successful Knights of the Old Republic franchise. In these games the player is able to make and choose how they participate in missions, the kind of equipment they use and how good, or evil, they want to be (this all has an impact on the end of the game). This form of game play is taken to the next level, as individuals now are able to make the same decisions, only on a wider scale and with other human counterparts in the SWTOR video game, created by EA Games and in conjunction with LucasArts.
